The Platinum Fashion Mall

Platinum Fashion Mall is like an indoor version of the Chatuchak Weekend Market. It specializes in wholesale fashion clothing and accessories, with four floors of shopping space, packed with some 1,300 shops. Here, haggling is part of the fun, and you’ll save more buying in larger quantities.

MBK Shopping Mall

MBK Center is probably Bangkok's most legendary shopping mall, popular with both tourists and locals, and busy with shoppers every day. There are eight floors packed with 2,000 shops that sell everything from clothing, fashion accessories, handbags, leather products and luggage to furniture, mobile phones, electric appliances, cameras, stationery and DVDs.

BoBae Market

Bobae Market in Bangkok is a 30 year old market located not too far from MBK. Bobae (pronounced Bo Bay) is famous for fashion wholesale and is now very popular with exporters from around the world, including Russia. Bobae tower, next to the market, advertises itself as having 1,300 stalls under one roof and claims to be the largest garment wholesale center in Thailand.

The Bangkok Art and Centre (BACC) is the hub of Bangkok’s burgeoning art scene and offers the widest range of contemporary art, design, music, theatre and film in the city. Located only a few minutes walk National Stadium BTS it hosts a number of changing exhibitions from both Thai and International artists. Entry is free and the centre is open from 10.00 till 21.00 every day except Mondays.

THE JIM THOMPSON THAI HOUSE

The Jim Thompson House is the home of James H.W. Thompson, a self-made American entrepreneur who was the founder of the world renowned Jim Thompson Thai Silk Company. Thompson's achievements during his 25 year stay in the Kingdom of Thailand have won him much fame as the "Legendary American of Thailand"..

The stadium has various vital roles such as a tourism attraction, an information and news center, a public service center, a center promoting students’ activities and recreation, a sports and health science center, a sports ground, a recreation place, the Muay Thai Conservation Center Of Thailand, a modern IT center for sports and recreation. What’s more, the stadium is often used as a place for holding various national important sports competitions.

Hua Lamphong, or Bangkok Train Station, is the main terminal to northern, eastern, northeastern and southern Thailand. It connects with the MRT underground system and features a distinct half-dome structure, designed by an Italian architect Mario Tamagno in an Italian neo-renaissance style.

National Stadium BTS Station, with a skywalk that overlooks the busy Pathumwan intersection, has direct access to MBK and Bangkok Art and Culture Centre. The lovely Jim Thompson’s House is a few minutes’ walk down nearby Soi Kasemsan 2. The main stadium, which was used to host the Asian Games on three separate occasions, can be seen from the BTS station, and is now generally used for small football matches and athletics events (the main stadium in Thailand, Rajamangala Stadium, is now outside the city centre in Bang Kapi.)

Temple Wat Saket

Wat Saket or the Temple of the Golden Mount, Bangkok, is an ancient temple dating back to the Ayutthaya Period. Previously called Wat Sakae, the name was changed to Wat Saket during the reign of King Rama I. The Golden Mount, built under the rule of King Rama V, is 77 meters tall and at the top reside many of Buddhist relics found at Kapilavastu ancient city. Some other interesting things in this Bangkok temple are the many Buddha images, the temple hall, the pagoda, the scripture hall, and the Sri Maha Bodhi tree. This is another place you should not miss when you visit Bangkok.
